Hi, thanks for the info
I usually move files in the GUI - and usually can open an actual window of my file manager as root. I used to do this using the command nautilus, have recently got used to doing it with out command line at all.
Is there a way to move files as root using a drag and drop GUI method?
Hi,
Read the AV Linux manual section on PCManFM file manager, if you look there is an option in the 'Tools' menu to 'Open current folder as Root'. Then you simply drag and drop or copy and paste as normal except with Root privileges.
