Need some help setting this up.

I see the device in JACK, but I cannot run.

The message I get is this:

12:15:36.619 JACK is starting...

It looks like libasound_module_pcm_usb_stream.so is missing, but I cannot reinstall it without breaking something else.  I don't see these files in the path.  When I run ubuntu, I can see these files (alsa-plugins).  But I'm not sure if I can copy these files to AV Linux to get it working.  I'm still somewhat new to this, so if you know the answer, I would really appreciate it.

I looked for the missing files in /usr/lib/alsa-lib, but only see libasound_module_ctl_bluetooth.so and libasound_module_pcm_bluetooth.so

Thanks,

Omar

Hi,

Not sure on the 122L, I have an older 122 that works OOTB, does the 122L require a special firmware? If you are looking for the alsa-plugins package it is called 'libasound2-plugins' in Debian, perhaps that will be what you need.

I believe that is what I need.  I looked in synaptic but I don't see it. Do I need to add a repository?  I'll look again.
Perhaps maybe its under a different name.

Hi,

I should be there in the default repos. Make sure you have hit the 'reload' button in the Synaptic Package Manager to fetch a fresh packages list and search for libasound and it should be there.

Ok, I found it  Yahoo

For me, I had to turn on the repository www.debian-multimedia.org/whezzy main.  From there I was able to install find the plugins and install.

Thanks,

Omar
