Hi all,

About a month ago, I got the notion to try doing a "webcast concert", just for fun.  I quickly scrapped the idea, as my internet connection is just too slow (and I'm too cheap to pay for a faster one.)  Anyway, instead I've been trying out another idea:  A weekly music video, a song done by myself or with friends/guests.  So far, I've done four videos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCSm6VCE7QE Solo guitar and vocal.  Terrible picture quality, I hadn't yet gotten a real video camera.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm1eTMCa6Wg A song I wrote, done with guitar and three part harmony.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezNOaycmGBM Guitar instrumental
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShdXXK7-f1c A southern Gospel men's quartet, with my brothers-in-law (seriously, this was done while hanging out with the in-laws, these guys are really my brothers-in-law.)  This one sure was a lot of fun!

I'll be posting a new video every Sunday evening (GMT -5:00), until I get tired of it, I guess.  And yes, these videos are all made entirely with AVLinux.

Great, great, great.

What a pleasure to listen, thanks for these moments.

The Don Fransisco song is really cool, I like it a lot, especially how you perform it. Good voice, good playing !

The most I was impressed was "Never seperated from your Love", your friends are doing a perfect chorus job. All in all a fine composition, a very good performance and -as I said- a wonderful chorus (wish I had possibilities like that).

if you don't mind, I will download these two songs, it's a joy to listen to them !

Yours

Nice Stuff Trulan,

Great singing, great picking, I particularly enjoyed the arrangement and performance of 'Great is thy Faithfulness', thanks for sharing!

Thanks guys!
Here's another video, a bit unusual for me because I'm playing not a guitar but a piano, not something I do real often.  Another original song, written in 1999 while I was a student at a small Bible college.  I originally wrote it on the guitar but found that some of the chords really opened up when playing it on piano.

"Let Me Love You" - piano version:

Okay, so the piano isn't perfectly in tune, and this isn't quite 'live', I had to due some creative editing due to my imperfect piano playing...but anyway, here it is.

ah, the "piano tune thing".... I know that. I should have get tuned my acoustic piano since two years or so... I simply forget about it. Ok, but thats not the story, sorry.

A really GREAT performance, it showed again a lot of talent and it brings us a lot of joy, Thank you for that. It made my day.

THX

trulan,

Piano too!? Maybe you should start listing the instruments you don't play...it would be a shorter list Smile

Great job on the performance and well done with the video and recording as well, what Reverb did you use on the vocal?

The reverb is on the master track, so it's on the piano as well as the vocal.  It's IR, with an impulse from a set I found on the web somewhere, from an Alesis Microverb ii.

Here's a video from an early morning men's meeting at our church.  I was in charge of the humor and whatever...But it was a lot of fun.
