From my album "Tales From 1020" which is still under construction. Enjoy  Wizard

It was a very early summer day in 1020. In the first light of dawn the King arrived with his men and his horses at the edge of the forest.

(In these days, the King did not have a "home". He travelled through his country and stayed for some days at several places in his country to show his presence and to administer justice).

With their kettle drums, their bagpipes and their flutes they marched slowly towards the city. Short before the city wall they stopped, blowing their fanfares and horns to introduce the King.

Listen, when they pause, waiting for the draw bridge to open. The morning wind blows and their banners are flattering.

Then the Gleemen take over. From inside the city those young guys welcome the King. In their modern way they take over the theme of the Kings fanfares to show their solidarity. That day was a happy day in 1020.

(The Gleeman was a band of touring minstrels around their leader Glen. Some weeks later they disappeared under very mysterious circumstances: http://home.mnet-online.de/profknaakenbroed//music/talesfrom1020/GleemensDisappearance.mp3)

It was fun. I could almost smell the morning dew.
