I have just installed Ubuntu 11.10 and added all my favorite apps and changed the gnome session to the Classic No Effects session. Should I use the 3.0.0-1 Remastersys or will the older 2.0.18-1 still work? I realize that Ubuntu 11.10 uses the LightDM and the session I use is different from the standard Unity session.

I took the plunge with Remastersys 3.0.0-1 and my DIST mode remaster of my Ubuntu 11.10 system worked perfectly. I added all the software I wanted, added the Gnome Classic session and my remaster boots successfully to the Unity interface, however, once installed, the system rembered my preference for the Classic login and that is what I got once installed. Thanks Tony for another wonderful experience. I do not require a lot, but I see you have added many options to Remastersys. Maybe one day when I have some time I will play with it more. Thanks again!

Yes unity is quite entrenched in there isn't it - lol.

Glad it worked for you in the end.  There are more options coming to make it even easier for the user.
