Hello,

I am working on a distro using remastersys and so far remastersys has been awesome. My problem is that I want the live cd to boot straight into the command line, but for some reason it starts my X Window Manager as soon as the system boots and logs in automatically.

Is there any way I can disable my X Window Manager from starting when the "custom" user logs in?

I am using remastersys v2.0.23-1 on Debian squeeze. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

- Chris

I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty certain that the live CD is dependent on the Casper scripts and probably the accompanying GUI as well.

The debian version should allow you to boot into command line mode only but I haven't tried it with squeeze.  It worked in lenny just fine if I remember correctly.
