Install the remastersys 3.0.0-1 that I just released last night.  As for size, files that are already compressed will not compress further and if you have a lot of compressed files they will not shrink down at all.  Also make sure to clean out cache and trash from your home folder.

It looks like it is.  The filesystem.squashfs on the iso is a compressed squashfs filesystem so it should always be smaller than your normal sized system.

Use Terminal to go to the Desktop folder and do this.

sudo chmod ugo+rx *.desktop

Try it again after that and let me know if it worked.

Your version of remastersys is too old.  You need to install the new one 3.0.0-1 and try again.  The version you are using is too old for 10.10.

Please post the remastersys.log.

Is this a system you upgraded from a version prior to 10.04?  If it is, then your system didn't cleanly upgrade.

I update this packages

and I back-up and then restore perfectly OK

p.s.
in original system was 3.1gb
in the restored system is 2.8gb

is right ?

Good to hear.  Yes your new system will be a bit smaller as I remove the cache files and logs as they are not needed.
