Good suggestion, I'll see about it in a future release, it won't make it into 5.0.3. I've also considered making an 'AV Linux Companion' DVD ISO image full of some of the popular free and open source sound libraries and hydrogen drumkits etc so folks would have all that stuff collected together in one place.

A companion DVD would be awsome. There are so many av-distros out there with all kinds of preinstalled software but most of the doesn' t even have an easy way to load their presets and banks. A noob doesn't know about /usr/local/share/xyz and will have a lot of trouble finding his way. The thing I've noticed about av-linux is that this dist is really nice with all the linuxDSP and loomer stuff preinstalled and you also get a good really easy way to find the rest of the tools you probably want and need. A companion dvd would be the sugar on top.
