I made a script which i put in the /etc/skel folder and marked as executable.
After that i edited the menus and in "other" i made a new entry which executes the script. However after doing a remastersys - Distr and installing that. Its no longer there.
Howcome ? I need a way to somhow allow the first user created to execute the script. However simply putting it on the desktop of all users wont do as the other users will be domain users so they shouldnt be able to run the script nor see it at all.

Is there a way to prevent the program items in the program menu from dissapearing when ive created a costum item there ?

Ubuntu 11.10 - gnome classic /w latest remastersys (3.0 i belive)

You do realize that putting it in /etc/skel means it will be there for every user created?

You can't have anything pointing to a local user folder that goes in /etc/skel so what you are trying to do is impossible.

Any scripts or executable must be in the bin folders.

Yes i realize that. My problem is just that the menu launcher Programs->Other-><MyProgram> isnt there once i remaster to a new ISO file. I was hoping it would be there. Basicly either that or some way to just put a shortcut on the desktop for the first user who logs in (or the live session user since thats the username for the livecd)

It can't be there.  As I told you, anything pointing to the user folder will be removed.

Local personal scripts should go in /usr/local/bin though.
