I use this lighting program with my ENTTEC DMX USB PRO.  I created a virtual controller and programed it for my 4 LED par 56s and one LED wash bar.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/qlc/

It requires one additional file ... may or may not be something to consider to include...

Thanks.

thank you foor this hint, that's what I am looking for at the moment. I want to set up a box as a dmx controller  to control two 12 channel dimmer-packs and a few LED-Pars for a little stage at the school where I'm doing the stage technique with my pupils.
so, how can I use your virtual controller?

thanks,

One odd quirk I have found with my ENTTEC DMX USB PRO  is regarding the firmware.  I know a work_around but it kind of is lame.  When I have problems with the serial number registering I plug it into a xp computer and run the firmware update program.  Somehow it loses something or needs to get reflashed.  This is a bummer because I HATE having to need a stupid xp computer for anything.  Maybe there is a debian way that is easy?? I am not sure.  But if you start to lose proper function and cant figure out why you are having problems then check your terminal to see if you get errors when running QLC.  That might be an indication you should flash the rom again.
