Hi!!! i get a crash in lmms when i try to start vestige with synth 1 vst plugin. It works in my ubuntu modified installation on the same machine. Any suggestions are welcome.

I'm really pleased with avlinux, i'd love to figure out what i'm doing wrong.

My pc: Acer Aspire 5532

With Vestige you can run VSTs with either with fst or dssi-vst (see Edit->Preferences).   Try which switching between fst<->dssi-vst and see if that helps.   The other things to check are the version numbers of wine and maybe lmms in Ubuntu to AVLinux to understand the differences between them.

...Tried synth1 on AVLinux 5.0.2 and it works in festige with both vst or dssi-vst.  I don't know enough about LMMS to try it with that however.

Thanks a lot. I reinstalled avlinux, and it worked! The only problem is when you select a bank of sound i can't see the name of the presets in the table. Is there any way to make that work?

Thanks for the help

I created a preset by clicking on the "program" box which brought up a panel of all the preset banks.   I clicked selected bank 1 preset 1 which was set to "initial preset".  I think click "Write" on the main panel which saved my preset.  However, I did not see the name of my preset in the banks panel until I restarted Synth1.

Just a stupid question: how do you install synth 1 to work with lmms?
