Hello...

i am trying to use avlinux, but i cant install on my stripeset intel raid. there is no option during remastersys live installer.
the raid is well recognized and i have the devices in /dev/mapper/, but while installation i only get the single drives in /dev/ listet to use, no raid drives.
how can i fix this i found no solution the fault is anywhere in the installer i think.

any ideas?

Calm down,

This is not paid tech support, posts in this forum are answered by 2 or 3 people all of whom do it in their spare time. If you don't get an answer quickly it most likely because someone doesn't know the answer to your exact question or are too busy.

I don't know the answer to your question, I don't use fakeraid and since you are the first person to ask I'm assuming not many AV Linux users do. If this doesn't meet your needs that is regrettable. Perhaps someone with more knowledge on this particular subject can give a more detailed answer.

the only thing about raid support is this in 2009:

http://www.remastersys.com/forums/index.php?topic=426.0

but is don´t realy understand where to do that. the kernel itself supports raid on my machine, during a live session i can mount the devices, they´re there... only the installer is missing them!

think after weeks its time to push that. im glad to use avlinux and i know it isnt paid. thx.  Howdy

here my solution:

1. install avlinux anywhere on a single harddisk or on a parition on single harddisk
2. copy partition containing avlinux to an empty partition on raid with acronis^^
3. reinstall grub in chroot

so it is solved. thank you, like all threats since i am using linux i solved it by myself.
this works only if you own an actual acronis true image and the raiddevices needed to be recognized before copying.
