Hi, I've been trying to install some Native Instruments software. Mostly soundbanks for Kontakt. They come in the form of an exe and an iso file. When you start exe It says:"ISO MOUNTER This installation includes a small driver setup which enables your system to mount iso images. Press "OK" to proceed with the driver installation". When you press OK it gives me this error "Cannot connect to virtual CD driver: HRESULT code 0x80070002".

Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks in advance.

You will likely need to install Kontackt, and Service Center, register Kontackt on your
NI account, and try installing after a reboot.
Stalled installation may just mean a window popped up behind others,
and is waiting for input, so minimize as needed to check.

You may also need to create all the path and folders that the installer will seek.
Installing on a windows setup will help sleuth them out, since NI installers often place items
in 4 or more locations, be diligent in the search, Common Files, User folders,
various Documents folders, Application Data, Shared Content
yada yada typical windoze nonsense

If it's a third-party library, contact the author.
Good luck!

No, it's not that. I have Kontakt, Service Center and bunch of other NI software installed and activated without problems. Naturally, I tried to mount the iso volume and run the .exe in the mounted iso but then I get: " wine: cannot find L"C:\\windows\\system32\\Kontakt.exe".

I have found a thread on the WineHQ forum :
http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=15171&sid=ad96c1990b3ae59d34ad35730a7bf14f
which was started by someone with the same problem. Apparently, simply mounting an iso does not emulate a CD drive. This poster suggested using CDEmu program. It consists of four packages. I've installed them all but when I start it I get:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/local/bin/gcdemu", line 30, in <module>
    from gi.repository import GLib
ImportError: No module named gi.repository

According to posts on various forums it's some part of python missing.
