I have been notified by Canonical that there is currently a bug in casper - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/984276

This affects remastersys users as you need casper for the live boot. I'll be keeping an eye on this as they work to correct the situation.

I have been doing a lot of testing on 32-bit precise and 64-bit precise and haven't come across this at all.  I'm trying to get more information from Brian at Canonical regarding the issue.  I am running the same versions of kernels and casper as is reported in the bug report but have not had any issues at all.

This appears to be related to USB live bootable system using persistence.  It appears as though install from this causes the issue due to the way Ubuntu changed casper to be able to update kernels on the USB system with persistence.

My recommendation as it has always been is that if you plan on installing the remaster DO NOT USE PERSISTENCE on usb.

thanks for you fast reply ..i did use usb-creator but i also use multisystem sometimes ..ive ran the completed iso in vbox and i still have the login issue its supposed to autologin but it wont here is my sys file maybe you can find something from it..this has been remastered on three different computers so i dont think it is related to that >>

I did try to the syslinux update that you pointed me too but it does this from the iso _ i also started the install this time from a burnt iso instead of installing from usb - it happens on both media
