AV Linux Manual German

This document is based on the original AV Linux 5.0.3 manual. It is intended to spread the word also in German and to make it easier to start with AV Linux. Any comment and/or criticism is appreciated.
 
Dieses Dokument basiert auf dem englischen Handbuch von AV Linux 5.0.3.
Inhaltlich wurde auf größtmögliche Nähe zum Original Wert gelegt, andernfalls würde es ja keinen Sinn machen, ein Handbuch zu übersetzen. Allerdings ist es, abgesehen vom geschichtlichen Teil und dem Vorwort, keine wörtliche Übersetzung. Dies hätte mir das Layout zerschossen und es soll ja auch ein wenig hübsch aussehen.
Hinsichtlich des verwendeten Syntaxes sei gesagt: die deutsche Sprache ist leider manchmal etwas umständlich und so habe ich der Einfachheit halber hin und wieder Anglismen mit einfließen lassen.

Hinweise wegen Übersetzungsfehlern, fehlenden Informationen und sonstige Kommentare oder Kritiken zu diesem Dokument gern an mich.

hab zwar noch nicht alles gelesen, aber ich bin schwer überrascht und begeistert!!!
Da ich vorhabe AVL in meiner medienpädagogischen Arbeit einzusetzen, hatte ich die Übersetzung des Handbuch auch auf dem Zettel.
Vielen, vielen Dank für deine Arbeit 
Gegen Ende diesen Jahres werde ich wohl dazu kommen, mich mit dem Thema "deutsche AVL-Version" zu widmen.
Hier im Forum wurde das Thema "Lokalisation" bereits angerissen.

Bei nochmaliger Revision sind mir ein paar gravierende Fehler aufgefallen, die jetzt ausgemerzt sind. Da ich hier nicht andauernd ne neue Version ins Netz stellen will, ohne dass die anderen gelöscht werden können, kann in Zukunft unter av-linux.de die jeweils neueste Version des Handbuches geladen werden.

Ich hoffe, dass jetzt soweit alles i.O. ist. Sollte jemandem noch was auffallen... na ihr wisst schon

super, vielen Dank für die tolle Übersetzung. Es erleichtert dann doch einiges.
Ich versuche gerade AVL komplett auf de umzustellen, es ist mir bisher leider nur teilweise gelungen. Geklappt hat es bisher nur mit dem Tastaturlayout, KDE Programmen, Icewease und Ardour-VST.

I try to change AVLinux completely to german. Now I have change the keyboard layout, KDE programs, Icewease and Ardour VST. The rest is still english.

Danke. Freut mich, wenn es hilft. Was die Lokalisierung anbelangt, so hilft vielleicht folgendes (ist aber umständlich):

- AV Linux installieren und alle Einstellungen vornehmen (Systemsprache, Keyboardlayout, usw.)
- dann, falls keine Lokalisierung in den Repositorien zu finden ist, nach einem Update auf AV Linux schauen bzw. das entsprechende Paket runterladen
- als nächstes das Programm komplett deinstallieren (--purge)
- jetzt das Programm neu installieren

Wenn es eine Lokalisierung gibt, dann sollte das Programm jetzt halbwegs mit deutschem Interface aufwarten. Hat bei mir mit LibreOffice super geklappt (version 3.5 gibt es auf der Homepage) und Rosegarden ist bei mir jetzt auch deutsch, nachdem ich das Update von AV Linux draufgeschossen habe.

For a education project in the context of my bachelor thesis (yes, I started studying additionally on my old days ), I'm working now on a translation of pieces of AVL 6.
I would go on with the work of grooveschmied, who traslated the 5.03 manual, and update it to 6.
Further pieces I'm focused on are the control panel and to switch the lxde surface and a few other applications, where german translations are already available, but not installed by default.
So any hints and experiences in this case would be appreciated.

One importent questions for me is: would it be ok for you if I call my Project-Version "AVLinux mediacation edition" [AVLinux me]?
It's because I called the complete project mediacation. The second part of the practicle section of my work, is a moodle course, where support for the use of AVL (in the case of my project) is bundled with the manuals, howtos, screencast etc. For that I've already reserved a domain with this name.

The main idea is to promote the use of open source software in the social work. Especially in the media pedagogy section. On one hand it's about "train the trainer" and on the other about making media-projects with kids and teens in schools and youth clubs.  For me it's very importend to give them the live DVD for the use at home, so they can keep on going with their creative work outside the project environment. legal and for free! So they can use the communication tools in the moodle course to share their output and experience with the other kids in their course or help each other.

This is what I'm working on at the moment and the plan for the next days.

If you want to have a side project called 'AV Linux ME' I have no problem with that as long as people know it is based on AV Linux and that it is a separate project.

It sounds like a great idea, I wish you success.

good to hear that this idea is no problem for you. And thank you for the manual files.

You can be shure that I make it clear that it AVL is your baby! (wich is of course brought up by a lot of awesome uncles )
It's just about spreading the idea. And to be honest, at the moment it's just a study-project for my bachelor thesis. How far I can push it into the public, depends a bit on the question where AVL goes in the future. (Deep inside I'm still dreaming of a future for AVL, maybe community based???)  
But in fact AVL is so well designed for "just getting a job done, out of the box" that it's very suitible for the purpose I'm thinking of.

One question to the translation of the AVL6 Control Panel: Is it right that it's not easy possible to translate it by changing the appropiate text file?

this sounds good to me to. I will give you support when I can, so just drop me a mail. For the translation of the manual you can use my translation of course while respecting the GNU GPL. The translated scripts for the AVL-Control-Panel, Version 5.0.3, are still available at my site. Feel free to download and study them for your research. If you're going to use it for your project, then give credits where credits belong to and everything is okay.
