Dear all,
I just bought a Korg Nano-pad.
It seems to be recognise properly by Jack, also the connection runs successful, but no signal is sent.
Does anyone use this device with AVLinux?

Thanks in advance,
Touch.

I don't have a Nanopad but I'm quite sure it should work.    What tests have you done with it?  I suggest connecting it to the Pianoteq demo and click on "options" and "midi" and you'll get a screen showing midi events.  You should be able to see midi events (and hear Pianoteq notes), by hitting the nanopad pads.  If not, then there is something wrong in your setup.

hi,
i just bought one today. I just plugged it into my laptop. i fired up Yoshimi and Patchage.
the NanoPad is Green Midi, Yoshimi is Red Midi.
I fired up A2Jmidi
connected the NanoPad midi output (from A2J) to yoshimi connected the outputs from yoshimi to my sound outs and all was working.
I tried it with Hydrogen and, after some patchage patching, that worked too.

did you download the drivers etc from the korg website? they work well in WINE and allow the assignment of buttons.
*note - it took me a long time to realise that i need to open the folder at 'root' and then install the drivers and the kontrol software.
then it appears in the WINE folder on your menu bar.

after playing about for a couple of days i decided to take the nanopad back to the shop.

the korg kontrol, though working well in WINE didn't make life easy enough when trying to program triggers to certain events.

it was easy in SooperLooper because SL has a midi learn function..... but i decided there must be better products out there.
