Hello world!

I've tried to install avl 5.0.3 on a system with two hard disks but the installer recognize one only.

1st is an ocz ssd agilty 3 60 gb (/ and swap only)

2nd is western digital 500gb sata3 (i'd like for home, var and everything else for best performance in audio recording)

As I said I can choose only one for installing and I prefer the ssd for.
Is there a way to separate home (and others) partition by the avl installer?
If it's not possible, how could I separate home, var, etc. on the 2nd hd?
I use ext4 filesystem for all partitions
Thanks and regards

As far as I know, the installer isn't able to split your installation up into multiple partitions like that.  Your best bet is going to be to install AVLinux to the ssd (a fresh installation uses about 8 Gb), then set up your partitions and copy home and var into their new partitions.  Then, set up your /etc/fstab to mount your new home and var partitions to their proper places.  Finally, rename or delete the old home and var partitions (you may need to do that from the live DVD, it's been a while since I've done this), and reboot.

Here's a guide for more information:

That's for Ubuntu but it should work in AVLinux as well.
