If you have Vmware Player installed, your iso created by remastersys will not boot properly due to the fact that vmware also includes a copy of isolinux.bin which is used for the live boot in the iso creation.  As a workaround, rename the isolinux.bin in /usr/lib/vmware/resources to something else prior to remastering and then rename it back when you are done.
