Sorry about the dumb subject line...but, part of this query is that I don't know what the "thing" is called that I'm asking about... Embarrased

I was tinkering and clicked on wbar, which put a bunch or icons across the top of my workspace. At that point I still had the icons in the lower left for system tools, filemanager, iceweasel, etc.

Not wanting to play with wbar, it clicked on the tube icon and clicked remove...wbar didn't go away, the icons for system tools, filemanager, iceweasel, etc.
did. Now I have only the tube icon.

What are they called (or what is the "thing" they are on called) and how do I get them back?
(if the tube icon wasn't a giveaway; this is 5.0.3 AVL)
Regards,
Mac

It sounds like you removed the Application Launch Bar from LXPanel.

First off, to remove WBar, you have to kill it.  (AVLinux Control Panel, Kill an app, and click on WBar).

To restore your quick launch bar, right-click on LXPanel (the 'tube Icon, or anywhere across the bottom of the screen) and select 'Add/Remove Panel Items'.  You want to add an Application Launch Bar.  You'll probably have to re-select the apps you want in the launch bar.
(Note: there is another application launch bar already there at the end of the list, that one is the 'shutdown' button.  It's best to leave that one alone.)

Thanks!

That was exactly what I needed to know.

All better now.
