Sorry for the long time until answering.
Here some output from uname:
avlinux: Linux satellite 3.0.16-avl-7 #22 SMP PREEMPT
Fri Jan 6 23:46:34 EST 2012 i686 GNU/Linux
knoppix6.2: ( only live cd , not installed ):
Linux Microknoppix 2.6.32.6 #8 SMP PREEMPT
Thu Jan 28 10:51:16 CET 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
ubuntu studio: ( I installed this and it works quite good,
but I used avlinux before and would like to have it again)
Linux satellite 3.2.0-23-lowlatency-pae #31-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT
Wed Apr 11 04:07:36 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
status:
avlinux does not see my camera nor my encrypted USB stick
knoppix: camera working, but not the encr. USB stick
ubuntu: both working
I add the output from lspci -v as seperate files.
I want to try to use the testing kernel.
I added
deb
http://www.bandshed.net/kernels/apt testing main
and I get the files installed in
/usr/src/linux-headers-3.4.1-rt9-avl1
is there a howto for compiling a kernel for avlinux or
is e.g 'How to Compile a Kernel for Debian ( Squeeze)' at
http://technozorgs.blogspot.se/2011/07/how-to-compile-kernel-for-debian.htmlthe right way?
or something else?
thanks for all your help.
( maybe it will take some time until I have time to answer again. )
