I have fixed remastersys to work with the new Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic version.
There is a new repository as well.
For Karmic and Newer with grub2 - version 2.0.13-1 and up
# Remastersys
deb

The webpage has also been updated:
http://www.geekconnection.org/remastersys/ubuntu.htmlThis version has removed grub as a dependency due to the fact that karmic uses grub2 now. The issue that was happening with the initrd.gz not being found was due to casper-new-uuid being changed for karmic as well. For the time being I have removed all of the grub stuff including being able to boot the cd with grub. Only the isolinux method is remaining for now and the casper-new-uuid call has been removed which means it won't work with the usb tool right now either. Unetbootin may still work for putting the livecd iso on usb.
I will be attempting to see if I can bring back the grub boot for the livecd but it will obviously be grub2. I will also be looking into the casper-new-uuid mode to see if I can add that function back as well. No eta for these at the moment as I have other things to work on before I get back to remastersys for ubuntu.
If any of you have installed the older versions and let it remove grub2, you will have to put grub2 back as the installers in Karmic rely on grub2.
As always, please post any issues in the appropriate forum area so I don't have to move them.
