Can anyone recommend a Videocapturecard well working in Linux?
I have a Pinnacle PCI500 which is not recognized and tweak the system to make it work is beyond
my competence. I also tried a Pinnacle Dazzle USB.
I forgot to say its primary for analog video.
Thanks for your suggestions.

I have been using a Hauppage PVR150 for a long time.  It works better in Linux than in Windows.  I've converted many hundreds of hours of analog video with it.  If you can get one of the original pvr150 units they work the best in Linux for analog capture and they capture directly to mpeg.
