Hi petacalco,

Welcome to the Remastersys community! Howdy
Are you looking to make an installable system or just back up your system?
If you want an installable live CD or DVD, then you will want to use dist mode.
If it is only for backing up your home directory, then you will want to use backup mode.

There's lots of information on how to use these modes, and since it is unclear what you need help with, I would recommend you start here:

http://www.remastersys.com/info.html

Here's a nice tutorial on how to use Remastersys:

http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/remastersys.html

If need more assistance, try searching for the answer here with the forum search function.
If you don't find an answer, then I would post a question about a specific problem, and I'm sure you will get the help you need.
However, I would first read the documentation so you are familiar with the information and know enough to ask the right questions.

When you ask your questions, please be sure to be as specific as possible, and provide as much information about the problem as possible so we know enough about the problem to help you. Smile
