The linuxDSP Pro-EQ and Pro-Dynamics - which seemed to go largely un-noticed the first time around have now been re-released together with the Pro-Gate.  The Gate is a combined Noise Gate (expander),  a gain stage for trimming input levels, a high-pass filter for removing acoustic noise and a phase alignment stage for multiple microphone setups.  Together with the EQ and Dynamics these are essential plugins for Ardour (and other compatible linux DAWs) - in fact they are probably THE three plugins that you should have, and toether they provide a complete channel processing solution.

Great!

As one of the few who DID notice and purchase the "Pro Series" is there a way to upgrade to the 3 pack without re-purchasing the others?

I've just bought these plugins and have these comments:

1)   If you run Pro-Gate and make a range and try "loop range" Ardour will crash at the end of the first loop.  However "play range" does not crash.   This happened both with Ardour 2.8.4 on x86_64 Mandriva2010 system and Ardour 2.8.11 x86 AVLinux 4 system.

2)   In Pro-Gate it is hard to tell the difference between button on/off states.  The change in appearance for on/off should be greater.

3)  It would be nice if these plugins had the ability to save presets.

4)   Some of your other plugins can save presets, but I notice the presets saved are specific to the Ardour session.  It would be nice if you
could save presets globally, and with use-given names, and to have more than 5 possible presets (rather than just "None A B C D").

Thanks for all the work making quality plugins for Linux.

Thanks for the comments - I'll have a look at the loop range issue, that seems a little strange.

I forgot to mention in the previous post.. Which version of the gate are you using? (it should display briefly in the text display at the top of the plugin when its GUI is opened) - a new version was put on the site yesterday after a small glitch was discovered, which 'may' affect the behaviour of the plugin when looping (I haven't been able to duplicate the crash with the new version so far..)

I had been running version 1.00.   I just installed the new version (1.01) and no longer get the crash.

Ok, glad its now working properly.  I'll see what I can do about the other points you have mentioned, such as the presets and the buttons.  I can't promise if / when this will happen but if or when it does it will be a free upgrade.

Thanks for offering the free upgrades.   It might be helpful to put the current version of the plugins on the download page so that users can see if an upgraded version is available.  For example, I would not have been able to know that the Pro-Channel plugins had be updated yesterday if you had not mentioned it.
