Hi.  Since I swear by AV_3 and also AV_4, I would like to know what people who know way more than I do thinks about this:

http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=ODUyMA

They say it was known for 5 years?  hmmm talk about living in a complete sate of denial!  I 'think' my computer is safe.  Are there steps we should be taking in addition to the standard setup?  Or is this something that, even though it is out there, really doesn't deserve to ruffle many feathers??

Thanks for the input!

To date, no regular linux apps have been identified as abusing this.

Be careful where you get your linux apps from.  Make sure they are from a trusted source and you will be fine.
