We opened plastic molds of the OBD2 OBDII OBD connectors and plugs.
24AWG or 26AWG pure copper quality wires are employed to
manufacture these cables. We can always make the cables with
excellent connectivity and durability.
There is a gap on the baffle in the middle of the OBD2 OBDII male
plug. This kind of OBD2 male plug can be connected to OBD2 female
ports of 24V/12V vehicles.
We can make different overmolds for the ends of OBD2 OBDII female and male connectors. If you don’t like the overmolds at the ends of OBD2 OBDII female and male connectors as shown in the pictures or you would like to have your own overmold with your company’s logo or you have special application requirements, we can and we have the ability to make a new overmold for you with reasonable charge. Moreover, we can even make it for free as long as the order quantity is 5000 pcs or more.

As to this pin out, Pin 4 and Pin 5 of the OBD2 OBD male and female
connectors are connected together with a short wire. The black wire
in the main cable is connected to Pin 4 or Pin 5. There are 9 pins
wired, but there are 8 wires of 26AWG in the main cable.

As to this pin out, all 16 pins of the OBDII OBD2 male and female
connectors are wired, so there are 16 wires of 26AWG in the main
cable.
The pin assignment or pin out can also be customized according to
your needs. If there is no need for more pins to be connected, we
suggest we just connect the necessary pins you need and the price
can be lower because the raw material and labor cost is lower.
Application
This OBD2 OBD male to female extension cable is used to connect telematics, IoV devices, fleet management devices, OBD2 GPS
trackers, OBD2 CAN programming tools, ECU tuning tools or car
performance tuning tools to vehicles' 16-Pin OBD2 female ports.
In some cars, the OBD2 OBDII female diagnostic ports are covered by
lids. If you would like to connect and install some OBD2 telematics
or IoV devices to the OBD2 OBDII female diagnostic ports in these
cars, this cable is perfect for this application. The overmolded
plastic injection part at the ends of 16-Pin OBD2 OBDII female and
male connectors makes the cable come out at a right angle
90-degree. The overmold is with slim design and the cable is flat
and thin. These features make it easy to connect and install these
kinds of OBD2 telematics or IoV devices to the OBD2 OBDII female
diagnostic ports in these cars. Moreover, we can also create an
overmold which makes the total thickness of the OBD2 male plug (we
have a very thin OBD2 male plug, thinnest and standard OBD2 male
plug in the world) after overmolding only 19mm. This OBD2 male plug
of 19mm after overmolding can be inserted into the OBD2 OBDII
female diagnostic ports in most cars including Volkswagen Caddy.
This cable can also connect OBD2 diagnostic devices or scanners or fault code readers (with the appropriate software) to vehicles' OBD2 female ports, mainly for dignostic purposes.
